Roller Skating for the Dog Park

MASON CITY, IA- Folks out at the skating rink are helping bring a dog park to Mason City

Friends of the Mason City Dog Park are hosting a “Lucky Dog” skate. The organization is getting 50 percent of every person’s admission. The money will help provide a space for dogs out by Lime Creek Nature Center. Right now group leaders say they have about 13 hundred dollars … but need about 150 thousand.

Group Media Coordinator Tammy Munson said, “Statistics have shown that dogs that are involved and social are much more friendlier dogs and it brings the community together so why not have one right here in Mason City.”

She said they will continue to hold events like this until all of the money is raised. The next one will be at Buffalo Wild Wings next week.
